As revealed in the five-page preview for Doctor Who #10 - [link]
- here is page two to the story, picking up right where we left off in issue #9, the Doctor and his companion Emily cornered by Mr. Crane (his alternate universe-self first appeared in "Rise of the Cybermen").
And of course, the Doctor has just freed the seemingly innocent Angel of Enochia...
The Angels of Enochia (or Enochian Angels - EE-NOK-ians and not N-O-Chians) were created for this story by writer Tony Lee. His description was simply "mechanical looking clockwork designed Angel(s)." Past that, the design was completely mine, including how it went from innocent-looking Christmas tree topper, to this near-demonic version of itself.
I gave colorist Charlie Kirchoff ~CharlieKirchoff
a rough color guide (bronze, gold, and Apple computer white-plastic), and he made these things really shine (literally and figuratively).
Wait till' you see the havoc these things cause... Heh.
I'll post more behind-the-scenes stuff on the Enochians at some point.
For now, check this page out, click above to see Charlie's colors on the page, and pick up the issue (Stateside) on April 28th! Thanks!
