"Matt 'Hunter' Trakker", April, 2007. Digital drawing in Photoshop.

Some of you have been waiting to see this -- my "modern" take on Matt Trakker, leader of M.A.S.K., and his vehicle Thunderhawk.

Most of this was a test in cell shading coloring (for my previous attempt, check out my other Matt Trakker drawing here -- [link]).

I like how this came out, even with the amount of experimentation. I'm bummed you can't see more of the background, because I tried some new stuff, and came up with something I like, and will probably use in the future.

I know there are a couple of people interested, so I may post the linework (sans logo and background) up in my scraps at some point, if anyone else would like to try their hand at coloring this (for an idea of what the linework looks like on its own, check out the Thunderhawk before it was fully finished -- [link]).

Hi! Very nice picture, I really love it.
Very precise work with the car too. I think it is very hard to be good with this, since it is so symetrical and rigid, the smallest mistake is visible, so ... good job! I think the whole masked Matt Trakker rocks. I find your style and the art really beautiful. Congrats, I felt like a kid for few seconds. :)

Very very cool!!!

I almost feared, i was the only one remembering the TV Show and the according toys!

Glad you proved me wrong =D

But even aside from my "childhood memories", i have to say, that this is an eccelent piece!

I like all the detail, the slightly blurred lineart and the highlights!

The composition is interesting, too... Thunderhawk is very dynamic, and i find it rather interesting, that you drew Matt with mask facing away from the "unmasked" Face, because most people would make him face it, but i think that catches the viewers attention a little more!

Great piece!

All hail the 80s ;-)
