"Super Grover (For Tomorrow)", February, 2007. Digital Painting in Photoshop.
Full view. Way back in 1997, I drew a marker and colored pencil version of Super Grover for a friend. It was time for a new one. So I did this in honor of one of the first superheroes I was introduced to. I used a cover image from Jim Lee's "Superman For Tomorrow" run as inspiration -- [link]. A favorite image of mine. And he's cute too! (Please imagine a Grover voice in your head, so that bit doesn't sound as creepy.) Update: Did some long overdue touch ups to this, rounding him out a bit more. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.  reports, 1d 23h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices.
