"Super Grover (For Tomorrow)", February, 2007. Digital Painting in Photoshop.

Way back in 1997, I drew a marker and colored pencil version of Super Grover for a friend. It was time for a new one.

So I did this in honor of one of the first superheroes I was introduced to.

I used a cover image from Jim Lee's "Superman For Tomorrow" run as inspiration -- [link]. A favorite image of mine.

And he's cute too! (Please imagine a Grover voice in your head, so that bit doesn't sound as creepy.)

Update: Did some long overdue touch ups to this, rounding him out a bit more.
